August meeting is canceled Monday August 2. Read about committees  RGDA activity
We are working on organizational efforts to increase Rio Grande Delta Audubon (RGDA) visibility in our community to accomplish our  Mission:
Rio Grande Delta Audubon is dedicated to conservation of our native habitat for the protection of birds, other wildlife, and for the enhancement and appreciation of our environment.

Some of the suggestions at the July meeting included regular field trips, an annual meeting, calendars, joining the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce.  I will be as much a part of each committee as you wish.

Field trips will be at least one a month, consideration for both more walking or less walking trips, morning trips, upper RGV trips, and maybe some overnight trips like to the Whooping Cranes.  Your input to Madeleine Sandefur <madi.s44@att.net> who has agreed to help the Field Trips together.  Please let her know your though via e-mail.

Thoughts on the Annual Meeting included a speaker, full meal, silent auction, and what ever can be though of.  A person to chair this activity plus some assistants for the different parts.

Calendar and other projects could use your leadership. Talk with your fellow members or non-members to organize a part of this plan.  Please let Lee know if you can get a committee together with  an initial meeting before the September 2010 meeting Sept. 13 with the first Monday being a holiday.   Call Lee at 956-266-8801 or e-mail Lee.Zieger@GMail.com
