Come enjoy this collection of bird photos, voices, and habits to help you locate them. The photos may be the most complete set of images of the Rio Grande Valley birds. You will hear many of their voices and see where they live.

February is Back Yard Bird count month. It is easy to participate from the Internet web site www.birdcount.org.

  • Count the bird species
  • After at least 15 minutes of watching
  • You can repeat your count at the same place on each day or visit other locations.

Get a bird list for our area, the rules, even photos, and how to submit on the web.

Pick up a flyer at the meeting for your school, church, and civic clubs.

Oiled Wildlife Response Workshop
Become part of a WR&E Oiled Wildlife Response Team. February 22, 2008 at Gladys Port Zoo Thomas W. deMaar, DVM is coordinating the day long course. RSVP GPZ Clinic Office 956-546-0044.
